Having lived in Greece for many years I have a lifetime of Greek experiences to call on when creating your special destination celebrant led symbolic ceremony. Inspired by peoples stories and passionate about my work as a wedding celebrant in Greece, I am a true romantic at heart.

With years of experience working with visitors to Rhodes, I am imaginative and witty, confident and dedicated and I will support you  from our first meeting online, to the moment you say your vows and exchange rings as partners for life.

Described by my friends as funny, lively, and somewhat emotional, I love introducing my couples to a taste of the Greek way of life, by adding a little sparkle of Greece in to my ceremonies.

A Wedding Celebrant in Greece

My job

As a wedding celebrant in Greece I spend my time meeting couples and families, learning their story, and writing a unique ceremony for their special day. Often asked to officiate luxury ceremonies for couples of mixed faith or with Greek heritage, I love to work with any couple who is looking for a truly special ceremony anywhere in Greece.

Same-sex weddings in Greece

I am a lifelong believer in total marriage equality, so if you are planning a LGBTQ wedding in Greece look no further! On 16 February 2024 Greece legalised same-sex civil marriage unions in Greece and was the first Orthodox country to do so.  However the civil ceremony is short and generic so you should consider a celebrant led ceremony for your special day!  You haven’t travelled all the way to Greece for anything less.

Known in the industry as a symbolic wedding, no wedding ceremony that I write and officiate will feel ‘symbolic’ in any way.

For those of you who have no idea how a celebrant  can enhance your destination wedding in Greece, you are not alone!  If you are from the USA or Australasia, you will be amongst those who do understand, as celebrant led ceremonies in these regions of the world have been the way to go for decades!

Your Unique Ceremony in Greece

You have chosen Greece as the venue for your destination wedding and are bringing your family and friends with you to enjoy the wedding and of course the celebrations which follow!

So many couples completely forget to discuss options for the ceremony, that moment in time when you stand up in front of your family and friends, and exchange rings and say your vows to each other as partners for life. It really is the most important part of any wedding day!

Take a look at what couples have to say about their special symbolic wedding ceremonies in Greece!

If you choose a celebrant led ceremony in Greece, it will in essence be symbolic, however most couples choosing this type of unique ceremony, will register their marriage back home before travel, quietly with no celebrations, allowing them to have the ceremony of their dreams in Greece to celebrate their marriage.

My ceremonies have no time limits, are perfect for couples looking for some traditions linked to their faith, couples who wish to include their family and friends and of course can be held anywhere; at your holiday villa, on the beach at the waters edge, on a yacht, at a winery, well I could go on and on, no restrictions at all.

Large weddings, tiny weddings, elopements and vow renewals, these are all ceremonies I write and create. I have to admit I do love a crowd and am happy to stay on if asked, as Master of Ceremonies for the evening do, but I am just as comfortable with an intimate elopement or vow renewal at sunset or even sunrise!

Oh yes, nearly forgot, I speak Greek too, for any of you with Greek heritage, it did take me a few years to open my mouth, but a couple of decades later I am much improved!

A Celebrant Vow Renewal

A vow renewal in Rhodes

Sunset photo shoot at Kato Petres, Rhodes after a romantic vow renewal ceremony

Why not renew your vows in Greece?  Perhaps you would like to write your own vows, and have a personal ceremony on a beach with the waves lapping at your feet, or at your holiday villa beside the pool.  We can create a lovely ceremony in a wonderful setting, Greece is such a beautiful choice for any kind of celebration.  There are numerous reasons why any couple may decide to renew their vows, perhaps it would be to mark a special anniversary, maybe times have been a little tricky and a vow renewal is like a new beginning.  Some couples like to renew their vows on their one year anniversary.  Whatever the reason, we can create a unique ceremony together and include some wonderful elements and traditions.  Sometimes, the parents of the wedding couple choose to have a vow renewal ceremony at the end of the actual wedding ceremony.
